Israel is responsible for the escalation of tensions / We are following developments in Lebanon with deep concern
Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement condemned the assassination of the senior Hezbollah commander and called on Arab and Islamic countries to break their silence.
In a communiqué released in response to the assassination of Hezbollah’s military commander in Lebanon, the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement:
We are following the developments in Lebanon with deep concern after the surprise attack by the Zionist regime and the assassination of the martyred commander Haytham Abu Ali Tabatabai.
This attack reflects the malice of the Zionist project aimed at undermining stability and shows the targeting of communities and leaders who resist Israeli domination.
We declare our full support for the people of Lebanon, the nationalist forces, and especially Hezbollah as a central pillar of the national equation.
The attack on Dahieh is an attack on Lebanon’s established and principled position, and we hold the arrogant Zionist regime fully responsible for the escalation of tensions.
We call on Arab and Islamic countries to end their silence, to provide practical support to Lebanon, and to protect civilians.
