Full support of al-Nujaba for the campaign to boycott Turkey/ If the government is unable, Iraqi tribes will take action

Shaykh Nazem al-Sa’idi, the head of the Executive Council of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement in Iraq, stated during a gathering of the movement’s members: “Trump, who covets our country’s wealth, has arrogantly claimed that Iraqis don’t know how to use their own resources! That’s why he has sent a drug smuggler to Baghdad as the U.S. envoy. Remaining silent in the face of such an insult is submission to American domination. We criticize the silence of responsible officials toward this behaviour and remind them that the United States seeks oil interests and military bases, not the well-being of Iraq. Foreign interference in our laws—such as the Popular Mobilization Forces law and the Ja’fari law—is a clear violation of national sovereignty and must be resisted.” 

In another part of his speech, Shaykh al-Sa’idi added that the water crisis in southern Iraq is not merely a service issue but one tied to national sovereignty. 

He emphasized, “The government must take a serious and decisive stance regarding this crisis. The al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement supports the youth who have launched the campaign to boycott Turkish goods, and we call on the government to stand with this approach in defence of sovereignty and the people’s rights. If no concrete measures are taken to protect Iraq’s water resources, the honourable tribes and farmers of the south will take action themselves to secure their right to water and a dignified life.” 

He concluded his remarks by speaking about the upcoming parliamentary elections, “The Supreme Religious Authority has stressed participation in the elections, and we advise that the main criterion for voting should be the stance of each list and candidate toward the continuation of the Popular Mobilization Forces, for the current circumstances demand that hands remain on the trigger. While maintaining unity, national identity, and Iraq’s sovereignty, we must support the loyal and sincere forces capable of defending religion, the homeland, and its achievements. Salvation and success lie in adhering to the path of the religious authority and the Resistance.”
